Our favorite healthy green smoothie






My girls and I love smoothies and I especially love that they are packed with nutrients. The girls just think it's a treat, but they won't accually drink a smoothie if it has a green color so I trick them ;), blue berries are awesome for changing the color of a smoothie. Here is the recipe...

1.5 cups ice
1 cup water
1 handful of blueberries
2 handfuls of spinach 
1/4 cup rasberries
2 cups of strawberries 
1.5 bananas

Blend and add small amounts of water to thin or less to leave thick.
Enjoy!!!!! 
Makes 4 servings

Finally an oatmeal recipe I love!!!!!

     I have never been a fan of oatmeal it is either to flavorful or too blan. I love more savory type foods however when it comes to oatmeal I don't think it goes.  I also don't like warm, hot, cooked in anyway fruit so that takes most of the recipes out of the running. The point for me to eat oatmeal is healthy reasons oatmeal is good for you but instant is not.  Well after years of trying oatmeal (and hating it) this morning I decided to try oatmeal with peanut butter like a peanut butter oatmeal cookie flavor. Here it is....



Peanut butter oatmeal cookie oatmeal 
-1/2 cup dried oats(cooked to package directions)
-Milk or water(according to package directions and desired thickness)
-1 tablespoon peanut butter
-1/2 tablespoon of honey (or to taste for sweetness)
-1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
